3D Christmas Tree

I love the 3D Christmas Tree card that is on page 181 of the SU! Catalog. So, I made my version of the card using a video that I found on YouTube. Frenchie's video was very helpful.

I recommend decorating the front of your card before adding your tree to the inside. Once the tree is added to the inside the card will not lay flat. I wish I would have designed the front of my card a little different, but I still liked the card. Planning to make more of this in the future...

I made a few changes to the card...I used the Punch Pals stamp set from SU! and Ballet Blue for the base of the card. I'm also going to try adding a sentiment to the upper right of the card. When I make the changes I will re-post a new picture.

To make the tree, I used Simply Score and scored Gumball Green cardstock (8" X 6-3/4") at 1/2" increments. To make the layers you cut the score cardstock at 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 1-3/4".

The trunk of the tree is 3/4" X 2" and I used Soft Suede card stock. The trunk is also scored at 1/2" increments.

Frenchie's video is really great, I recommend watching it before trying this card. Her video made this card so simple!

Happy Scrapping!

New SU! Demo

After signing up to sell SU! I thought it would be a nice idea to start a craft blog...I'm hoping to upload at least once a week.

So excited to start selling SU! as a hobby!
